Junior Butcher – Join Our Skilled Butchery Team
Are you passionate about food? Excited by organic farming and traditional craft?
We're looking for a Junior Butcher to help deliver the outstanding quality Daylesford is known for.
You'll work hands-on with exceptional produce, support our expert team, and bring your skill and personality to a luxury retail environment.
40 hours per week (including weekends)
£27,000 + tronc
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and portioning high-quality organic meats (including poultry and whole carcasses)
- Creating fresh, inspiring counter displays that showcase our exceptional produce
- Engaging with customers, sharing cooking tips and product knowledge
- Maintaining impeccable food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards
- Rotating stock and carrying out quality checks to ensure peak freshness
- Working with our Lead Butcher, General Manager, and Head Chef to minimise waste
- Championing seasonal cuts and offers to delight customers and boost sales
What You'll Bring

- Strong knife skills and an eye for detail
- Warm, confident customer service
- Previous butchery or fresh food retail experience (ideal, but not essential)
- Ability to thrive during busy periods
- Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading times
