Job Description:
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Locum Podiatrist to join our team in Amersham. This role is available immediately and offers flexibility for part-time or full-time work. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care for patients with high-risk conditions and wound care needs. Experience in musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry is advantageous but not essential.

What your responsibilities will be for this Podiatry role?

As a Band 6 Locum Podiatrist, you will deliver specialist podiatric care with a focus on high-risk patients and wound management. Your duties will include conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing and treating complex podiatric conditions, and managing wound care to promote effective healing. You will develop and implement tailored treatment plans, offer expert advice on foot health, and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. Experience in MSK podiatry would be beneficial, providing additional expertise in managing musculoskeletal issues. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to clinical standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Podiatrist
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Proven experience in high-risk and wound care podiatry
  • Experience in musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry is advantageous
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of podiatric assessments and treatments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexible approach to working hours, with availability for part-time or full-time hours
