Senior Performance Analyst

London | Hybrid | £500–£600 per day | Inside IR35

TechNET has partnered with a large, high-impact government organisation to recruit a Senior Performance Analyst who will play a key role in shaping how services are measured, improved, and understood. This is an opportunity to influence decision-making at scale and help build analytical capability across a major digital environment.

The Role

You will lead on complex performance analysis, develop robust measurement frameworks, and turn data into compelling insights that drive service improvement. Working closely with product, delivery, and user research teams, you'll ensure performance data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with organisational goals. You'll also mentor other analysts, introduce new tools and techniques, and champion analytical best practice across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own performance measurement frameworks, including KPIs and service-level metrics.
  • Deliver high-quality analysis that informs strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Translate complex data into clear, engaging narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and validation processes are in place.
  • Mentor, upskill, and support junior analysts across the team.
  • Automate or streamline analytical processes where appropriate.
  • Collaborate across product, delivery, engineering, and research teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to wider analytical communities and share best practice.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in performance analysis within digital or government environments.
  • Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python/R, GA/Adobe Analytics, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly.
  • Proven experience developing KPIs and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of user-centred analysis and integrating quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement, including challenging assumptions when needed.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security and working within constraints.
