Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging learning opportunities and personalised care. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early learning experiences while working within a supportive and professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning opportunities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and independence
  • Observe and assess individual children's progress, maintaining accurate records of developmental milestones
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
  • Support children's emotional needs, providing comfort and reassurance as required

Skills

  • Experience of working in a busy nursery environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism when engaging with young children
  • Organised with the ability to plan activities effectively while managing multiple priorities

1 x MON, TUES, & WED BABY ROOM 2 position pm)

1 X FULL TIME TODDLER ROOM position pm)

1 X WED, THURS & FRI TODDLER ROOM position pm)

1 X MONDAY & TUESDAY PRESCHOOL 2 position pm)

1 x MONDAY & TUESDAY PRESCHOOL 1 position pm)

* Must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare, including working with babies module or additional training.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ONLY HOLD A LEVEL 2 QUALIFICATION OR ARE WORKING TOWARDS LEVEL 3.

WE ARE ALSO UNABLE TO USE A HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE QUALIFICATION OR TEACHING ASSISTANT.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.32 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 42.5 per week
