Job ScopeThe Software Test Engineer is responsible for the build and test of software to support the company's products and services.
Job Functions
- Responsible for building and testing software to support the company's products and services.
- Responsible for producing and maintaining software build and software test specifications.
- Technical liaison within and outside HENSOLDT UK, trading as Kelvin Hughes Limited, with customers, and collaborators on software related matters.
- Helping to improve the testability of software.
- Undertakes additional project tasks as required by management.
- Any other tasks associated with this role.
Requirements
- Technical background.
- Good communication skills.
- Good PC skills together with MS Office.
- Good understanding of Software Engineering Lifecycle, in particular test and integration.
- Knowledge of scripting/programming languages to help automate builds and testing.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to visit and sail with ships in the UK and abroad.
Experience Required
- 1 year's practical experience with testing software for PCs running Windows.
- Experience with writing test plans, specifications, and reports.
- Experience with building software & software installers desirable.
- Experience in a similar position within a Technical/Engineering organisation preferred.
Qualifications
- Good Engineering Degree with Software Content or equivalent (lower qualification considered if backed up by relevant experience).

- It also places a duty on employees to cooperate with their employer so far as is necessary to enable their duties to be complied with and including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Failure to comply with this duty may result in the Company invoking the disciplinary procedure.
