About the role

The Planner will support the CWA Enabling and Earthworks Geotechnical Section Planning Lead and the

Section Lead.

This role will provide a key link between the supply chain delivering the works, the requirements of the PAA

programme, the CWA team managing the works and the PMO.

Be part of this 'once in a generation' project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60

years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to

provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.

The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international

construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke.

We are more than just an alliance, we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of

learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide

What you'll be doing

  • Assist with the development of the delivery programme. Including close working and co-ordination

with Senior Planner, delivery teams, supply chain to build up the optimum methodology, sequence,

timing, production & resource

  • Assist with programme updates with respect to performance during the construction period
  • Recommend mitigation measures on areas of forecast critical programme slippage

Who we're looking for

  • A degree, HND or similar equivalent in a civil engineering or construction subject is desirable
  • Experience of planning services within large complex environments within the construction industry
  • Good experience in scheduling tools and software like Primavera P6, MS Project or ASTA
  • Understanding of the methods of construction, incl. plant, equipment, and labour requirements
  • Relevant CSCS Card
