There are NO limits to your career: come shape the future and be part of a truly unique global culture at OutSystems
We are seeking a highly capable
Lead HRIS Analyst to own and drive the evolution of our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
In this strategic, hands-on role, you will lead major HRIS initiatives, manage vendor partnerships, and spearhead the integration of AI and automation within the HR technology landscape. You'll serve as the primary architect and problem-solver for complex system challenges, guiding cross-functional teams, delivering scalable solutions, and ensuring the stability and growth of our HR systems.
As a Lead Analyst, you will be responsible for end-to-end Workday configuration, process optimization, and delivering scalable solutions that meet evolving business needs. You'll partner closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to streamline workflows, implement new functionality, and ensure a seamless Workday experience for users across the organization.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct people management, but requires strong leadership capabilities in guiding cross-functional teams, managing vendors, and owning complex project delivery.
*Key Responsibilities*
Workday Configuration & Operational Support
- Independently lead the end-to-end design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday modules with a primary focus on Core HCM, Absence, and Recruiting, and additional support for Talent Management, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Advanced Compensation.
- Own the ongoing maintenance and optimization of business processes, eligibility rules, condition logic, calculated fields, and validations to meet evolving HR and business needs.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics to deliver actionable insights for HR and business stakeholders.
- Manage data integrity through creation and execution of EIB data loads and proactive integration troubleshooting to ensure accurate and reliable system performance.
- Serve as the sole point of support for all Workday tickets (Tier 1–3), handling escalations, root-cause analysis, and resolution independently, while coordinating with internal teams as needed.
- Support Workday release management by leading regression testing, documentation, and stakeholder communication during system updates.
*AI Integration & Innovation*
- Identify and lead initiatives to introduce AI-powered and automated solutions across the HR technology stack.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate, pilot, and implement tools that enhance HR efficiency, data quality, and the employee experience.
- Stay current on emerging trends in AI and HR technology, providing strategic recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
*Project Delivery & Vendor Management*
- Lead end-to-end HRIS projects such as module implementations, enhancements, and systems integrations, owning project planning, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and execution.
- Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and technical partners to deliver on project goals, ensure system performance, and manage support escalations.
- Own system documentation, change tracking, and project communication to ensure transparency and continuity across stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate existing processes using Workday or complementary tools, aligning enhancements with long-term HR strategy and best practices.
*Stakeholder Partnership & Change Enablement*
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Legal, and other departments to gather requirements, identify gaps, and translate business needs into effective system solutions.
- Drive change management efforts for new system features or processes, including communications, training, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and deliver documentation, job aids, and user training to support adoption and self-service enablement across the HR team and broader organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of HRIS experience, with 4+ years of hands-on Workday configuration across multiple modules.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes (hire to retire), including global data requirements and compliance needs.
- Proven experience in leading HRIS projects, managing vendors, and collaborating cross-functionally without direct authority.
- Proficiency in Workday business process configuration, reporting, integrations (EIB), and calculated fields.
- Experience with data governance, system audits, and maintaining compliance standards in HR systems.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in AI, automation, or advanced HR technology.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Workday Pro certification(s) or relevant training a plus.
- Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed, or global environments.
The Longer Story
OutSystems enables enterprise teams to build AI-powered applications and agents that reduce manual work, streamline internal operations, and accelerate impact. A proven low-code foundation combined with agentic AI and AI app generation capabilities empowers teams to move up to 10x faster with the assurance of security, scalability, and governance built in.
As the future becomes agentic, our customers need us now more than ever. AI has opened the door to extraordinary possibilities—but inside the enterprise, things are moving fast and feeling chaotic. Some early adopters are making progress in production, but for many, AI tools are sprawling without governance, data isn't ready, and talent isn't there yet. Enterprises are still drowning in application backlogs and struggling with legacy systems. But with the right platform, AI doesn't have to add to the chaos. It can become the breakthrough that brings clarity—and drives real, enterprise-wide impact. At OutSystems, we've built that platform, providing the tools necessary for enterprises to overcome these hurdles.
We are looking for passionate, talented, and motivated people to join us in helping our customers build, deploy, and scale apps and agents—fast, helping them accelerate innovation while enabling secure, governed human-AI collaboration.
OutSystems is a truly global company, with more than 850,000 developer community members, 1,700 employees, more than 500 partners, and thousands of active customers in over 75 countries and across 21 industries. Founded in 2001, OutSystems has offices in the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, the UAE, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, India, and Singapore, and of course has a thriving, worldwide community of remote employees.
Amongst our customers are some of the world's most recognizable brands across diverse industries—brands like Toyota, Heineken, Bosch, KeyBank, and UCLA. These customers are the reason we have a 4.6 star rating on G2. Their success is ours, and their stories demonstrate tangible ROI and transformational impact. We are a 9x Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for Low-Code Application Platforms and a multi-year leader in the Forrester Wave. We're recognized not just as leaders but as visionaries with a strong ability to execute, now extending our leadership into the AI and agentic application development arena.
Working at OutSystems
Our goal is to ensure that OutSystems is a place for bright, happy, and motivated people who share a common purpose and take pride in doing excellent work to pursue our vision of providing the AI-powered low-code development platform enterprise leaders trust to build, secure, and evolve their business applications, agents, and core systems. Our team members operate with transparency, integrity, and accountability, define success through the lens of the outcomes we deliver for our customers, push the boundaries with excellence, and work together toward our shared vision to deliver on what matters most.
