Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals and assist patients with their daily needs. Your contributions will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of care and ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff promptly.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of patient areas, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Assist in the administration of medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- A caring attitude and strong interpersonal skills are crucial for this role.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology is an advantage but not mandatory.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential.
