An exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Team Manager based at Paragon's Sheffield site.

Reporting to the Head of Warehousing & Fulfilment, the Warehouse Team Manager is responsible for running a highly efficient and agile warehouse department and ensuring optimum performance by allocation of resources in line with demands and providing support to employees within the warehouse through development, coaching and mentoring.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Main duties would include:

  • Oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control..
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, etc.).
  • Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, inventory variance, and productivity.
  • Ensure workforce planning is completed to deliver optimum efficiencies across the Warehousing teams
  • Consult with Warehouse Team Managers to enforce the adherence of standard operating procedures and review, analyse, and develop plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • To ensure all entry/exit of materials are entered into MIS systems along with stock checks when requested by the business.
  • Review documentation (SOP's) and working practices with a view to improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
  • Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective management, training, and welfare of your team.
  • Ensure compliance with rules, procedures and systems whilst striving to continuously improve processes and relationships and instilling this mindset into your team
  • Advocate and drive warehouse best practice and continuous improvement across the warehouse department.
  • Ensure effective workforce planning is completed in line with HR such as interviewing/onboarding support for new employees, lead performance management and manage training and development of your team, monitor absence records etc
  • Responsible for Health & Safety policies and processes are being met always observe safe-working practices, and to report any breaches immediately

Skills and Attributes we are looking for:

  • Previous experience leading a team of people within a warehouse envrionment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skill
  • Proficient use of information technology such as Microsoft, Excel, Explorer, and office products
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm
  • Have good attention to detail, being thorough and analytical
  • Good understanding of warehouse metrics, including O.T.I.F requirements
  • An expert knowledge of the print industry and practices is desirable
  • Forklift truck licence desirable
