We're recruiting for a forward-thinking Supply Chain Specialist who will act as the supply planning contact point for Categories, Buying Offices and Banner's (B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama etc) for range changes and day to day operational queries related to a specific category.
This role is crucial for ensuring that Kingfisher's supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will make a difference by driving change, influencing across cultures, and disrupting traditional practices to achieve outstanding results.
What's the job?
- Ensure supply chain requirements are integrated into product decisions to maximise customer availability and minimise costs.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage global relationships and collaborate with vendors, manufacturers, buying teams and our retail banners.
- Influence across cultures to address operational issues and ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the supply chain.
- Disrupt traditional practices and find innovative solutions to meet and exceed changing customer demand
- Deliver change through owning end-to-end projects supported with contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Use your expertise and influence on all aspects of supply chain management and become a trusted partner across our businesses.
What You'll Bring
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data to create meaningful insights, perform cost analysis, and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to represent the supply chain in cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and influence across all levels and cultures.
- Effective in conceiving and managing projects from conception to launch, including contingency planning and post-implementation review.
- Experience in end-to-end vendor management from onboarding, capability assessment, forecasting, and materials & capacity planning.
