About the Role
As Teacher of Science, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across relevant key stages.
- Teach the Science curriculum effectively, with strong subject knowledge in your specialism.
- Support the progress of all learners including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and high-attaining students.
- Create a positive learning environment that fosters curiosity, resilience, and high aspirations.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental improvement.
- Support wider school life through enrichment, clubs, or additional learning opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and trust.
This maternity cover role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your practice while contributing to a thriving Science team.
About You
You will be:
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).
- Skilled at delivering consistently high-quality lessons across the Science curriculum.
- Able to adapt teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- Motivated, reflective, and confident in embracing innovation and change.
- Committed to continuous professional growth and supporting the development of others.
- Competent across all elements of the Teachers' Standards.
