SEND Teaching Assistant – Sittingbourne, Kent

The Role – SEND Teaching Assistant

As a SEND TA, you will:

  • Support students with SEND or additional learning needs in the classroom.
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to help students access lessons and achieve learning targets.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and adapting resources to meet student needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, inclusivity, and independence among students.
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and monitoring student progress.

Key Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH, or learning difficulties (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Right to work in the UK and recent, checkable references.
  • A caring, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting young people.
