Description

As Finance Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting across Defence UK&I. You'll be hands-on with statutory reporting and audit cycles, while also supporting and developing the Finance Analyst team and driving improvements in financial controls. With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Lead the actuals and quarterly statutory reporting processes, aligning with Group and Sector requirements.
  • Manage external audit cycles, acting as the key contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee FX postings and statutory compliance, providing clear analysis and commentary.
  • Mentor and guide the Finance Analyst team, ensuring consistency and best practice.
  • Enhance financial controls, tools, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Profile

We're seeking a finance professional who brings both technical expertise and strong leadership skills. You'll thrive in a role where accuracy, compliance, and clear communication are key, and you'll be confident in guiding a team while influencing stakeholders across the business. To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Demonstrate proven experience in auditing, reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to wider finance projects.
  • Have experience managing and developing teams.
