Job Purpose:
The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting across key entities. This includes the preparation of
statutory accounts
for both the Group Holding and Logistics companies, ensuring alignment with local regulations and corporate standards.
The position also plays a pivotal role in supporting the wider UK&I finance team by providing
technical accounting guidance
, helping to resolve complex accounting queries and ensuring consistency in financial practices.
Additionally, the role will
oversee and approve
local
balance sheet reconciliations
and
manual journal entries
, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
Responsibilities
- End to end production of statutory accounts for 9 legal entities.
- Reviewing balance sheets for adherence to UAP and suggesting improvements controls
- Ensuring SOX control compliance and Main point of contact for the Auditors relating to the 9 legal entities
- Undertaking ad-hoc technical accounting projects and special reviews as required.
- Review and Approve balance sheet reconciliations and manual journal entries for wider UK&I team.
- Building strong relationship with local, Shared Service Center, EMEA, Corporate Controllership and tax teams
Requirements
- 2-3 Experience of producing complex statutory accounts for multiple entries proficient in SAP and Excel
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent work experience)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP/ IFRS
- Energetic, enthusiastic and hard-working and will have a positive approach to challenges, thinking creatively to solve problems
- Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with senior members of the Group and remote Finance teams
