Job Details

Salary:

Teaching Assistant

  • Grade 3/4 (depending on experience) £24,796 – £25,989 pro rata
  • 13.5 hours per week
  • Term time only

Midday Meals Supervisor

  • Grade 2 £24,413 - £24,796 pro rata
  • 1.5 hrs per week
  • Term time only

Contract Type: Initially fixed term to the end of the academic year, 22/07/26, with the possibility of extending based on funding.

School Hours: 8.15am – 3pm

Location: St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Bognor

Interviews: Proposed date Thursday 8th January 2026

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Support the class teacher in promoting a positive learning environment;
  • Work directly with pupils in class to support teaching and learning and promote our high expectations;
  • Lead targeted intervention groups to raise pupil attainment;
  • Provide support for pupils with a range of learning needs;
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources;
  • Contribute to the assessment and recording of pupils' progress;
  • Ideally have previous experience of working in a school environment;
  • Have passes in GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above;
  • Be willing to uphold our school's Catholic ethos and contribute to the wider aspects of school life;
  • Be willing to work flexibly across the primary age range.
