In recent years Linaker has experienced rapid expansion and now serves a number of the UK's largest brands including KFC, Itsu, Knight Frank, Nandos, CBRE as well as large public sector organisations such as the MoD.
With ambitious plans and continued expansion across our portfolio forecast, we are seeking to create a new Business Analytics team led by a Business Partner.
About The Role
The Business Partner will lead a small team and report directly to the CFO. The team will be focused primarily on providing data, commercial and financial insights on the performance of key contracts operated by Linaker, presenting these findings to clients alongside recommendations on how Linaker can assist its clients on managing their asset base more effectively. In addition to this the Business Partner will work closely with the CFO on providing insights to the Exec Board on Linaker's performance alongside recommendations to drive improvement in Linaker's financial performance.
The role will require a mix of management, financial, and analytical skills, as well as being experienced in Power BI, Excel and Powerpoint. The ideal candidate will also have outstanding presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas in a succinct and accessible way. Experience in managing teams, acquiring and assessing data, along with evidence of being able to work with different teams to drive effective outcomes is essential. Sector knowledge is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Managing a small team;
Leading the preparation of monthly client reporting, providing financial and operational performance data and insights;
Informing Client Account Managers of key findings, trends and performance versus client budgets, in addition to working with them to ascertain reasons for these trends;
Working closely with the CFO to provide insights into Linaker's financial performance across clients and different revenue streams, analysing trends and making suggestions for improvement. In addition, providing actionable insights for finance and cost centre owners on operational efficiency opportunities;
Building dashboards, models, and visual reporting tools for board-level presentations;
Supporting financial input into sales tenders, investment assessments, and strategic projects;
Championing a culture of financial literacy and commercial awareness across operational teams

Strong commercial and inquisitive mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
High emotional intelligence
Track record of managing teams
Proven experience in business analysis of operationally complex businesses
High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and data modelling tools
Ability to present complex financial and non-financial information to non-finance stakeholders
Experience preparing board-level reports and commentary
Commitment to continuous improvement and building strong cross-functional relationships
