Role: AEM Technical Lead

Salary: Up to £84,000

Location: South Wales HQ – Remote First policy

Sanderson are partnering with a leading financial services organisation seeking a AEM Technical Lead to drive digital transformation through effective use of data and customer insights.

As a senior technical leader, you'll oversee solution design from requirements through to delivery, ensuring high standards, best practices, and technical alignment across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver innovative solutions using AEM, AEP, and related technologies.
  • Lead on technical design, development, testing, and deployment using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Promote Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee integrations across AI, front-end, and back-end systems.
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap, addressing technical debt and enhancing quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery leads, and third parties to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of trust and innovation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend their application.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and customer data tools.
  • Skilled in REST APIs, SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL), and cloud platforms (GCP/Azure).
  • Proficient in Git, Maven, npm, and CI/CD (Azure DevOps, JFrog).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and related DevOps tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking, identity management (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), and security frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences.
