We're looking for a strategic communicator who's part tech enthusiast, part problem solver, and part storyteller — someone who can make internal messages not just land, but resonate.

In this role, you'll take the lead on keeping our internal comms channels — from SharePoint to Viva Engage — running smoothly and evolving constantly. You'll be our go-to for channel strategy, content planning and digital optimisation, using data not just to report, but to uncover insights, test ideas and drive continuous improvement.

You'll work closely with the internal comms team, senior leaders and colleagues across the business to shape how we connect, inform and inspire. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of our internal communications channels, including SharePoint, email, digital signage and Viva Engage.
  • Be our SharePoint expert — managing structure, navigation, permissions and content strategy to make our intranet intuitive, engaging and future-ready.
  • Use data and analytics to measure channel performance, spot trends, and make smart recommendations.
  • Work with internal comms partners to plan, write and deliver content that's clear, engaging and aligned with our tone of voice.
  • Support leaders with messaging and visibility — helping them communicate with confidence and authenticity.
  • Ensure all content is audience-appropriate, timely and aligned with our brand and business priorities.
  • Own and update the internal channels section of the Communications Strategic Plan.
  • Actively listen to colleagues through feedback loops and social channels, and respond with insight and empathy.
  • Support change and transformation programmes with clear, calm and confident communication.
  • Bring creativity to the table — exploring new formats, tools and approaches to make messages stick.
  • Be a champion for great communication — setting high standards and helping others do the same.

Essential
Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in internal communications, with a strong focus on channel management.
  • Advanced SharePoint skills — confident managing site architecture, permissions, workflows and content.
  • A curious mindset and a passion for exploring new tech, tools and trends.
  • Strong verbal communication and stakeholder management skills — especially with senior leaders.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into simple, engaging messages.
  • Experience using data and analytics to inform strategy and improve performance.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Viva Engage, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Project management skills and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Discretion, tact and professionalism — especially during sensitive or high-stakes moments.

Desirable

  • Experience using Google analytics
  • Experience using Poppulo
  • Experience in financial services or customer-facing environments.
  • Familiarity with creative formats like video, animation or interactive content.
