A successful Mixed School in Camden is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Design & Technology Teacher specialising in Food Preparation & Nutrition for a permanent, full-time position starting in September. The ideal Design & Technology Teacher (Food Preparation & Nutrition) will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their culinary skills and understanding of healthy eating.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Design & Technology Teacher (Food Preparation & Nutrition) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition examinations.
  • Develop students' practical cooking skills, knowledge of nutrition, and food science principles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback as a Design & Technology Teacher (Food Preparation & Nutrition).
  • Contribute to the development of the Food Preparation & Nutrition curriculum and resources.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic food technology environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology, ideally with a focus on Food Preparation & Nutrition.
  • Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), with experience in Food Preparation & Nutrition.
  • Strong practical cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition and food safety.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire students in the area of Food Preparation & Nutrition.
  • A commitment to collaborative teamwork and a supportive school environment.
