About the Role

As an Art & Design Lecturer, you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of disciplines, including both digital and traditional processes such as 3D design, painting, drawing, illustration, fashion, photography, fine art, and printmaking. You will support learners in achieving their full potential, preparing them for industry briefs, higher education, and creative careers.

• Comprehensive understanding of both digital and traditional Art & Design techniques

Qualifications

Essential:

• Degree or professional qualification relevant to Art & Design
• Teaching qualification
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent

Desirable:

• Subject specialist qualification at Level 7 or above
• Assessor and/or Verifier award

Experience

Essential:

• Successful teaching experience and/or vocational/industrial experience
• Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies in Art & Design
• Strong industry links and employer contacts

Desirable:

• Experience embedding English and Maths into curriculum delivery
• Experience teaching Higher Education
• Promoting learners' work and showcasing achievement

• Preparing learners for industry briefs and community projects
