Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. The Delivery Driver will primarily operate a van and may also assist in warehouse duties when required.

Duties

  • Safely drive a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
  • Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading tasks.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial but not essential.
  • A strong sense of time management and organisational skills to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Valid driving licence with commercial driving experience preferred.

Must have 3 years driving experience minimum.

No DD, DR, DG and maximum 6 points on your licence

Skills:-

Proven experience as a Van Driver or similar role

  • Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record

  • Familiarity with delivery procedures- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients

  • Strong organisational skills to manage collections schedules efficiently
