The Role

We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Senior Collaboration Platform Manager to lead the governance, optimisation, and innovation of our Microsoft 365 (M365) collaboration ecosystem. This role will be pivotal in driving adoption, enhancing user experience, and ensuring secure and scalable collaboration across the enterprise. This role will be providing day to day leadership and accountability covering the M365 Engineering, Identity Engineering and collaboration teams

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Microsoft 365 services including, Intune, Autopilot, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online etc.
  • Define and execute the M365 collaboration strategy aligned with business goals
  • Lead platform governance, licensing optimisation, and service adoption strategies.

Identity Management

  • Leadership of Internal and customer Identity Platform management teams (EntraID, Auth0) , SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Protection policies.
  • Oversee integration of identity services with third-party applications and cloud platforms.
  • Working in lockstep with our Digital Security team to ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards/ best practices.

Collaboration Enablement

  • Monitor usage analytics and drive adoption through targeted campaigns and training
  • Partner with the wider technology teams, HR and the business to enhance employee experience through M365 capabilities.
  • Lead change management and training initiatives across the Platform.

Operational Excellence

  • Act as the Product owner for M365 collaboration tools, ensuring performance, reliability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage vendor relationships and service escalations with Microsoft and other partners.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure platform integrity and data protection
  • Support incident response and root cause analysis for any platform-related issues.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Leadership of M365 & Identity platforms teams.
  • Monthly on-site business end users visits
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align platform capabilities with strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and advisor on collaboration and identity technologies

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven 7 + years' experience managing enterprise-scale multi-tenant M365 environments.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Viva, and Power Platform.

  • Strong knowledge of M365 governance, compliance, and security models.

  • Experience with change management, user adoption strategies, and training programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with vendor and license management at an enterprise scale
  • Experience with hybrid environments and migration projects.
  • Experience managing cross functional teams and upskilling engineering capabilities.
  • Microsoft certifications (MS-102, MS-700,MS-203, MS-104,SC-300).
  • Automation & Scripting experience with PowerShell and Graph API
