Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children, and assisting in their developmental growth.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Provide high-quality childcare, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and nap times, ensuring that each child's needs are met.
- Support children in their social interactions, encouraging positive behaviour and helping them develop essential social skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is welcoming and conducive to learning.
- Drive to various locations as required for outings or events related to nursery activities.
Experience
- Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine love for working with children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
