Accountabilities of our Internal Sales Executive
The Role
Were looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Internal Sales Executive to join one of the UKs leading manufacturers and suppliers of hardwood flooring, stair parts, decking, and mouldings.
As part of our busy internal sales team, youll manage a portfolio of customer accounts, delivering excellent service and achieving sales growth targets. Youll take a hands-on approach to building strong relationships, maximising opportunities, and ensuring every customer receives the high standard of support Archwood is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of Archwood accounts with defined annual sales targets.
- Grow turnover by developing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional service and support to existing customers.
- Profile key accounts to identify areas for further development.
- Increase order value through upselling and cross-selling.
- Consolidate customer orders to optimise deliveries and improve efficiency.
- Create and pursue sales opportunities through research and proactive outreach.
- Follow up on quotes, samples, and enquiries to maximise conversion rates.
- Reactivate dormant accounts and engage new business prospects.
- Assist with wider promotional and outbound campaigns.
- Monitor account activity, identify trends, and report monthly on performance.
- Log all customer interactions using our CRM system, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Handle enquiries and complaints professionally, with the customer journey front of mind.
- Process orders and payments accurately, supporting a seamless customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and deliver results quickly.
What Were Looking For
Youll be a confident communicator and team player with a positive attitude and a real passion for customer service. You should have:
- At least 2 years experience in telesales or internal sales roles.
- A proven track record of managing both inbound and outbound calls (50+ per day).
- Experience generating, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop long-term accounts.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A polite and professional telephone manner.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (CRM experience desirable).
