The Role
SMC Premier Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate our market expansion across the North West. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from identifying new leads to closing high-value deals with commercial and corporate clients. This is an opportunity for a proactive and experienced sales professional to make a significant impact on our company's growth.
What you will be doing
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential clients in the commercial and corporate sectors, including offices, all education sectors, and healthcare.
- Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline, actively prospecting and building relationships through networking, research, and cold calling.
- Creating bids on behalf of the company. You will respond to and manage the tender process, tailoring each bid to any prospective client, creating compelling proposals and presentations that highlight our services and value proposition.
- Effectively negotiate contracts to secure new business and ensure commercial performance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure a seamless handover of all new contracts.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed your annual sales targets.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments. Acting as a brand ambassador at networking events, exhibitions, and industry functions.
Who you are
- You will have a proven track record in a business development or sales role within the commercial cleaning, facilities management, or soft services industry.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Are able to demonstrate direct impact of your work where bid writing was essential to securing new contracts and generating revenue.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel frequently within the region.
- A self-motivated and persistent attitude, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire trust with clients and colleagues.
- You will require an enhanced DBS certification
