Senior Compliance Officer – Global MedTech
West Midlands Area (Hybrid) | c.£80,000 + annual bonus and contributory pension (flexible for the right person)
This is a senior compliance leadership role with global scope and a strong FDA focus.
You will take full responsibility for the design, maturity and oversight of a worldwide healthcare and corporate compliance programme across the UK, US, Europe, LATAM and Asia.
You will be leading a small international team with a clear commitment to embedding compliance across every level of the business.

About the Role
You will establish, maintain and evolve a global compliance framework that reflects both international guidelines and the realities of a fast-growing commercial operation.
Key areas of accountability
• Build and maintain a comprehensive healthcare and corporate compliance programme aligned with AdvaMed, ABHI and MedTech Europe Codes of Ethics, the Sunshine Act and applicable US federal and state regulations.
• Conduct global risk assessments, audits and investigations to ensure continuous readiness for regulatory scrutiny.
• Strengthen the compliance function through leadership, mentoring and performance development of international team members.
• Create, revise and implement compliance policies, procedures and controls, ensuring practical adoption across business functions.
• Lead compliance auditing, monitoring and risk management activities, including coordination of external audits and third-party reviews.
• Oversee investigations and responses to internal or external enforcement actions.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to measure programme effectiveness and drive continual improvement.
• Deliver engaging training and educational programmes that embed a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of US federal and state regulations, global privacy laws and other applicable requirements.
About You
You will bring deep experience in healthcare compliance gained within a medical device or pharmaceutical company, with proven expertise in FDA compliance frameworks.
You know how to design and lead a scalable global compliance programme that enables growth while maintaining the highest ethical and regulatory standards.
You are collaborative, pragmatic and confident influencing at all levels, capable of converting complex regulatory expectations into clear, actionable business practice.
Requirements include:
• Extensive healthcare compliance experience within medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong understanding of US healthcare compliance, including FDA, federal and ideally state regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in building, managing and measuring compliance programmes globally.
• Leadership experience across international or remote teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance compliance integrity and commercial priorities.
Applicants should ideally reside within the West Midlands area or be comfortable commuting around three days per week. Exceptional candidates with the full breadth of experience seeking greater flexibility may also be considered, as may US-based applicants located in North Carolina.
