Water Treatment Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, fault finding and maintaining operating water treatment systems such as RO (reverse osmosis systems), Salt Based Water softeners, And POE Ultra Filtration systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who have previous experience working with the filter systems listed above, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism. The position involves hands-on work in a dynamic environment, requiring physical strength and mechanical aptitude. Potential opportunity to work some days from home. Previous experience with advanced water quality testing is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of water treatment systems and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Collect water samples for analysis and interpret data to adjust treatment processes accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies regarding water quality standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with treatment machinery and perform necessary repairs or coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
- Maintain detailed records of system operations, maintenance activities, and water quality data.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems as required.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to minimise risks associated with handling and heavy lifting.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair filter equipment efficiently.
- Physical capability when handling equipment or materials related to water treatment processes.
- Excellent organisational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Good communication skills for liaising with team members and reporting issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in water treatment or related fields is essential.
