Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play an essential part in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Van Driver is preferred.
  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing deliveries.
