About The Opportunity
A strong opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary building services team in Manchester. You will support the delivery of electrical engineering design across a wide range of project sectors including commercial, residential, public sector, science, research and mission-critical environments.

This role is ideal for someone building their design expertise and looking to progress within a collaborative technical environment. You'll be involved in concept development, detailed design, coordination activities and client engagement, while working closely with senior engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of electrical engineering design on a variety of building projects
  • Assist with developing concept designs, calculations, drawings, technical reports and specifications
  • Support coordination with architects, mechanical engineers and other specialists
  • Attend internal project meetings and contribute to design discussions
  • Communicate design information succinctly and accurately to colleagues and external partners
  • Take responsibility for discrete work packages with support from senior engineers
  • Assist with design reviews, compliance checks and quality assurance processes
  • Support the preparation of project documentation and client deliverables

What You Need

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer delivering building services design
  • Working knowledge of Revit, BIM workflows, Dialux, Relux and Electrical OM
  • Understanding of electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, containment and life safety systems
  • Experience working with clients, architects and contractors in a consultancy or design-focused environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and develop technical capability
  • Interest in supporting and learning from senior engineers
