About the role:
We're looking for a talented Technical Content Developer to join our Technical Writing & Learning team in Malvern, UK. Whether you're already working as a technical writer or bring comparable experience from a software, high-tech, or scientific environment, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll create clear, user-focused technical information that supports both our customers and internal engineering teams. You should be comfortable working with scientific and technical concepts and able to develop content that is accessible, inclusive, and consistent with our company style, ensuring it's suitable for a diverse, global audience.
What you'll be doing:
Develop a wide range of technical content (including help systems, user guides, and e-learning materials) that empowers and supports our users
Create and curate multimedia assets, such as video, audio, graphics, and photography, to bring technical information to life in accessible and engaging ways
Work confidently with established company tools, templates, and style guidelines, while also contributing ideas for how we can evolve them
Collaborate closely with subject-matter experts and stakeholders across teams, building strong working relationships based on respect and curiosity
Use translation and localization systems to help make our content truly global and understandable for a diverse international audience
Support the publication and organization of content across a variety of digital platforms to ensure information is easy to find and use
Contribute to project planning and tracking, helping to keep work organized, transparent, and on schedule
Take an active role in continuous improvement efforts, sharing suggestions, exploring new approaches, and learning along the way
Follow company quality standards and processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all produced content.
About you:
You have solid experience in developing technical documentation or related content (typically 3+ years), supported by relevant education or equivalent practical experience.
You're an excellent communicator in written and spoken English, with a passion for clear, user-centered technical writing.
You're confident working with authoring and content tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Author-It, Adobe CC) and ideally bring familiarity with web technologies like HTML/CSS.
You understand modern content practices such as topic-based or single-source writing and are curious about emerging trends like docs-as-code and AI-assisted content.
You've got strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, working well with stakeholders, engineers, and subject-matter experts across diverse teams.
You bring attention to detail, self-motivation, and a genuine desire to learn, whether exploring scientific subject matter or navigating complex, quality-driven environments
