Role Overview:

An integral part of the Supply Chain function, the Supply Chain Operations Representative (known internally as Sales Operations Representative) providing excellent customer experience within a global manufacturing environment. Our key focus as a business is delivering excellence in science, to our people and patients.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and drive commercial business objectives.
  • Receive and process customer orders in line with commercial terms and conditions.
  • Manage and process import and export licences for API customer orders in line with Home Office regulations. 
  • To communicate with Home Office on status of licences.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure they provide a valid and in date operating licence in order to allow fulfilment of orders.
  • To track and coordinate product supply for orders in the immediate 3 months.  
  • Update the Sales Team on any alterations to the supply plan for customer orders due for delivery in the immediate 3-month.
  • Communicate with customers on any delays to orders and providing revised delivery timelines.
  • To receive and respond in a timely manner to customer queries, liaising with relevant stakeholders as required.
  • To manage customer complaints in line with the company process from raising to resolution.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers.
  • Provide and process logistics solutions for lab sample shipments.
  • Attend customer business review meetings where required.
  • Work with our logistics partners to advise on orders due to dispatch in the coming month.
  • Execute the shipping of orders and production of required shipping paperwork and labels, sharing these with relevant stakeholders to facilitate prebooking of transport in-line with agreed incoterms. 
  • Obtain proof of deliveries for all orders dispatched.
  • Investigate non-standard transportation requests with logistics partners and all service solutions, presenting costings to the Sales Operations Lead for approval prior to submission to customer.
  • To ensure filing is kept up to date.
  • Liaise with Finance on possible debtors.
  • Provide comprehensive cover during team absence.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the department.

Qualifications: 

Essential

  • Prior experience of sales, customer service, export logistics and ERP systems.
  • Strong IT and administration skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills

  • Demonstratable teamworking skills
