HR Officer

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire (Office-based)

Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 DOE

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Overview:

We're looking for an organised and professional HR Officer to support our expanding group of online service brands.

Our company provides essential online solutions for individuals and organisations across the UK, and we're now seeking a dedicated HR professional to help manage recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration as the team continues to grow.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid HR experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process – job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and maintain HR records.
  • Support line managers with absence management, disciplinary procedures, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain staff files and ensure all HR data complies with GDPR.
  • Advise management on HR policies and best practices.
  • Handle general HR administration including holidays, sickness tracking, and staff communications.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, compliant, and supportive work environment.

Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR or people operations role.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and discreet approach when handling sensitive information.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or currently studying towards it) desirable.
