What you'll be doing
The Demand Generation Marketing Manager will work across Hachette Learning's portfolio of print and digital solutions for schools. They are responsible for planning and executing integrated global marketing campaigns that drive lead generation, nurture prospects through the funnel, and contribute to pipeline growth. They will collaborate closely with sales, product marketing, and the SEO and Paid Media Manager to optimize marketing automation and ensure alignment with business goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute successful global demand generation marketing campaigns targeting educators, institutions and decision-makers
- Create and manage lead generation strategies including email marketing, paid media, webinars, and content syndication.
- Optimise the marketing funnel to improve conversion rates and accelerate pipeline velocity.
- Leverage marketing automation tools to nurture leads and personalise outreach.
- Collaborate with sales and product marketing to align campaign messaging and ensure lead quality.
- Track and analyse campaign performance to inform future strategies with a particular focus on our products.
- Manage campaign calendars, budgets, and agency relationships as needed.
- Support product launches and go-to-market initiatives with targeted demand generation efforts.
- Work with the Amazon and trade sales teams to drive sales via Amazon and external suppliers.
Who we are looking for
An experienced marketer with significant B2B marketing experience:
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency with marketing platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, email marketing, Meta etc)
- Experience in using CRM systems and campaign analytics tools
- Solid understanding of trade sales channels such as Amazon and external suppliers.
- Previous marketing experience in educational/edtech publishing and/or education sector marketing is desirable, but not essential.

This role is a fixed-term contract for 6 months and will be based at our London office, with a blend of 3 days in the office and 2 days homeworking.
