Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment dedicated to patient care and wellbeing. Prior dental administrative experience is essential, along with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using practice management software
  • Answer phone calls promptly, providing accurate information and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update personal details as necessary
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and inviting at all times
  • Liaise with dental team members to coordinate patient care

Requirements

  • Previous dental administrative experience is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient care
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer programmes and practice management software is advantageous
  • Flexibility to work during clinic hours, including some evenings and saturday's where required
