The Role
We're looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll get hands-on exposure across core finance processes and play an important role in supporting accuracy, efficiency and strong controls as the business grows.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate at the start of their accounting career, who wants to gain experience in a fast-moving, international business, supporting the day-to-day activities of Uniken's EMEA and US regions.
Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)
- Managing day-to-day Accounts Payable: processing vendor invoices, employee expenses, payment runs, liaison with our vendors.
- Managing day-to-day Accounts Receivable: raising sales invoices, reconciling receipts, and supporting with credit control reporting (ie. overdue customer invoices)
- Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assisting with month-end close activities: posting journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Supporting the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and reports
- Supporting payroll preparation for the US and EMEA region.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with compliance tasks, and liaising with external accountants across multiple entities, when required.
- Spotting opportunities to improve processes and contributing ideas as we scale.
About You
- A recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets (basic functions)
- Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
- Excited by the chance to work in a scaling, international business where you'll get exposure across multiple countries
Salary: £35,000
Location: Remote, London
This is currently a remote role, however you may be required to commute in to London a few times a month.
