Derivatives Origination Manager
to play a pivotal role in our expansion.

The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced
Derivatives Origination Manager
to lead our trading execution for developing key client relationships. This is a senior role that blends deep derivatives trading expertise with strategic business development and team leadership. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving profitability, managing a portfolio of key accounts, and contributing to the strategic direction of our trading activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management & Business Development:
    Proactively develop and manage a client base derivatives product including futures, options, and OTC instruments across major global exchanges (e.g., LME, CME, SGX, ICE, EUREX). Including industrial hedgers, financial institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and introducing brokers.
  • Commercial Acumen:
    Drive revenue growth by cross selling the firm's suite of products and services, consistently meeting and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and motivate a small regional trading team. Be responsible for training, development, and contributing to recruitment.
  • Risk Management:
    Work closely with the Risk and Credit departments to assess market risk and manage client credit applications effectively.
  • Technical Innovation:
    Collaborate with in-house and external technical developers to enhance trading platforms, improve system functionality, and drive automation to increase trading efficiency.
  • Strategy & Problem Solving:
    Utilise astute problem-solving skills to formulate trading and client strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Compliance & Onboarding:
    Manage the client's onboarding process, ensuring full compliance with regulatory due diligence requirements.

The Ideal Candidate (Your Profile):

  • Proven track record (10+ years) in derivatives trading and execution within a global financial services environment.
  • Extensive experience and deep familiarity with electronic trading platforms (e.g., CQG, ATP, LME Trader, FFastFill) and an understanding of API connectivity.
  • Demonstrable success in building and maintaining a client book, with a specific focus on the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Strong leadership experience with a passion for training, developing, and harmonising a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and build strong, lasting relationships globally.
  • A proactive, strategic planner with innovative problem-solving capabilities and a target-driven mindset.
