Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting pallets within the LA postcode, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties s.

  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, adhering to route plans.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance reports.
  • Follow all relevant road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in similar roles.

  • Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or lorries.
  • Demonstrated understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial driving.
  • Experience with route planning and navigation tools is advantageous.
