Why You’ll Love This HGV Driver Role: Competitive pay from per hour – that’s around £760+ per week based on 48 hours Early starts between 05:00 and 08:00, leaving your evenings free Adhoc or 4 on 4 off shift pattern Local curtain side work with 1–4 deliveries per shift – no nights out or long trips Minimal manual handling – no handball required Permanent and temp-to-perm roles available with a respected logistics provider Work in a friendly, reliable environment with strong support from Aligra Key Responsibilities: Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (C+E) curtain side vehicle Complete 2 to 4 deliveries per shift, ensuring timely and accurate service Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly Secure loads in compliance with legal and company standards Adhere to UK and EU driving regulations and company health & safety policies Communicate professionally with transport planners and customers to ensure smooth operations Driver Requirements: Valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E), Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph card Minimum 1 year’s experience driving Class 1 vehicles (curtain side preferred) Strong knowledge of UK and EU driving regulations Reliable, professional with excellent timekeeping and communication skills Able to start shifts early between 05:00 and 08:00 and work independently Customer-focused attitude with a strong safety mindset Locations & Hotspots: We welcome drivers from Leicester, Coalville, Derby and Swadlincote areas.
