Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
  • Serve meals to customers, ensuring an excellent dining experience through attentive service.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and tidy by doing dishes, cleaning surfaces and floors

Experience

  • Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
  • Previous experience serving customers in a dining context is advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A passion for food and cooking, with a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
