Here at Steel Benders we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team.

This role will involve using press brakes and / or plate rolls with both CNC and manual controls, you will be working solo along with working with other skilled operators depending on the job requirements at the time. We do not run as a production line and every job can be different to the rest.

Experience on Press Brakes and or plate rolls is preferred but training can be done in house for individuals who show a strong worth ethic and are keen to learn.

Key responsibilities include.

  • Operating press brake and plate rolling machines with both CNC and manual operations.
  • Using overhead cranes.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Performing final quality checks on your own work.
  • Ensuring a safe working practice is being followed by yourself and those around you.

Requirements

  • Experience using Press Brake machines (preferred)
  • Experience using Plate Rolls (preferred)
  • Experience using overhead cranes (preferred)
  • Experience using forklifts (preferred)
  • Driving licence (preferred)
  • Experience reading engineering drawings (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
