Flexographic Printer

**1. **You will work within a press team operating the die-cutting or slitting machines and be responsible for completing the finishing of the master printed reel to the clients packing specification.

**2. **Handling of raw materials and following job ticket instructions to the standard required

**3. **Setup and operation of Rewind Inspection Machines using hand tools

**4. **You will transform the raw material or printed product into a usable form through slitting, rewinding and counting,

**5. **while carrying out inspection of the printed or unprinted labels or reels. This role is critical to the production process and the success of delivering our products On Time and In Full (OTIF) to the customer.

**6. **Follow work order specifications

**7. **Verify size and alignment of rewind rolls

**8. **Inspect for quality and consistency of product while machine is operating and adjust as necessary

**9. **Identifying and removing all non-conforming products, set up and in-process waste

**10. **Responsible to add operator comments to MIS system.

**11. **Responsible for keeping a clean & organised working environment.

**12. **Basic level of ink mixing and ink preparation with assistance from a senior printer

**13. **Washing off ink rollers and ink trays in between job changes

**14. **Mounting printing plates for line art and basic print only, 1 to 3 colour maximum

**15. **Mounting of up to three tools in one production pass, using heavy lifting equipment to safely mount die-cutters, perforation cylinders and rotary sheeting tools.

**16. **To maintain a consistent quality of print on the run by monitoring the press and ensuring the print and cut are always in registration

**17. ** Full awareness of anilox rollers and responsibility of keeping them clean and in good condition, using in house cleaning techniques and designated storage

**18. **To identify problems and communicate the issue to supervisors and senior printing staff

**19. **To work as a team and support others in the same team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
