Now, we're looking for a
Head of Risk
to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role, providing strategic leadership for our risk management framework, ensuring organisational resilience, and guiding our response to regulatory and industry challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

As Head of Risk, you'll play a critical role in protecting and strengthening the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of our organisation-wide risk management strategy
  • Overseeing risk frameworks, fraud investigations, and intelligence-gathering activities
  • Advising the Executive Director and Strategic Planning Team on emerging threats and opportunities
  • Managing and supporting the Risk Operations Manager to deliver effective oversight across EQA Services and Standardisation
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofqual's General Conditions of Recognition and other regulatory requirements
  • Producing clear and robust reports for the Governing Body, senior leadership, and regulators

Who You Are

We're looking for a senior leader with:

  • Extensive experience in risk management and compliance within a regulated or awarding organisation environment
  • Strong knowledge of Ofqual's regulatory framework
  • Proven experience developing and implementing risk frameworks and policies
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • High integrity, with the ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and organisational resilience
