Out of School Club Practitioner

Location: Boston Spa, Wetherby Local Area.

Hours: Part-time shifts available and 3-6.00pm Monday to Friday. Extra hours available.

Our client, Brook Babes established since 1999, are looking to recruit for a Childcare Practitioner to work with children, 4-11years, providing a warm caring environment.

Duties Include:

  • Focus on getting to know the children, playing and educating; less time focused on administrative duties.
  • Provide consistent high quality, child centred, responsive care to all children.
  • You will be able to model play, provide well planned stimulating, enabling environments for children to thrive.
  • Plan fun creative, team sports activities for groups of children in an inclusive manner.
  • To be able to listen and respond to children in a child centred manner which Safeguards children.
  • Work in partnership with parents to promote the best outcomes for children which is supportive.

Candidate Requirements:

  • While being level 3 qualified would be an advantage, this is not essential as training will be paid for by the provider.
  • For this role being committed and having passion for the role is essential.
  • The successful candidate must have a positive outlook towards continual professional development.
  • You must be committed to protect children from harm through following safeguarding procedures and ongoing professional development.
