Part Time 20 hrs a week 2 shifts plus management hours

Salary:

About The Good Coffee Kiosk

The Good Coffee Kiosk is a small, independent coffee kiosk based at the front entrance of
St Botolph without Bishopsgate Church
, right by Liverpool Street Station. We're more than just a coffee stop — we're a community hub serving great coffee with kindness and purpose.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on
Kiosk Manager & Barista
to lead daily operations while working on the front line preparing outstanding coffee. You'll be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient service, supporting our small team, maintaining high standards, and helping to grow the kiosk through great customer experiences and creative promotions.

This is a varied role — perfect for someone who loves both the craft of coffee-making and the challenge of running a small, vibrant business.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee & Customer Service

  • Prepare and serve consistently high-quality coffee and beverages.
  • Deliver warm, friendly, and professional service to every customer.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation to the highest standards.

Operations & Management

  • Oversee day-to-day kiosk operations, including stock control, equipment maintenance, and ordering supplies.
  • Supervise baristas (including temporary staff) and foster a positive, team-oriented workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.

Finance & Administration

  • Manage cash handling, POS systems, and daily reconciliations.
  • Monitor costs and supplier performance to ensure profitability.

Marketing & Growth

  • Manage The Kiosk's social media accounts, creating engaging posts, photos, and promotions.
  • Develop creative offers and community-focused initiatives to grow customer engagement.
  • Present promotional ideas and updates to the General Manager and Management Committee.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous café, coffee shop, or hospitality management experience.
  • Skilled barista with a love of great coffee and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Confident handling cash, stock, and POS systems.
  • Competent with social media and marketing basics.

Desirable:

  • Interest in sustainability and supporting local community projects.
  • Creative mindset for promotions and visual presentation.
