We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their own homes, and private residences. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and companionship.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide patient care and support for individuals with varying needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care.
  • Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
  • Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote a calm and supportive environment.
  • Support clients in mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, providing companionship and emotional support.

Skills

  • Experience in domicilliary care setting, or senior care is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and home care practices is beneficial.
  • Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • First aid certification is an asset; ability to respond effectively in emergencies is essential.
  • Valid driving licence preferred for transportation to clients homes as needed.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks when assisting clients with mobility or other needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
