Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires a strong background in food production and culinary arts, along with excellent leadership skills to supervise and motivate the kitchen team.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu specifications.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring effective team management and collaboration.
  • Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stock control of kitchen supplies.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
  • Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
