We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to promote the development of children in their early years. You will play a vital role in fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth while ensuring their safety and well-being. A full and relevant Level 3 qualification or above is essential for this role.

In addition to Early Years Practitioner job role, we have a vacancy for a Team Leader for our Under 2s Unit and will discuss this role with any applicants who are interested (this role would be paid at a higher salary).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning.
  • Manage daily activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.
  • Lead group activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and exploration.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of children's development and attendance.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
  • Drive initiatives that promote the nursery's ethos and values within the community.
  • Work in line with policies and procedures.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Early Years/Childcare or equivalent is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, demonstrating a drive for continuous professional development.
  • The successful applicant will join a well-qualified team of staff and will participate in planning, teaching and ensuring that the EYFS , knowledge and experience underpins all our work.

We will consider both full and part time applicants.

Full time salary is £26,000 to £27,040 per year. Salary is negotiable dependant upon experience.
