Find a Local Gardener (FLG) is a leading national network managing experienced gardeners and landscapers. We deliver high-quality garden maintenance and installation services to a prestigious portfolio of clients, including Property Companies, Housing Associations, Retirement Villages, Hotels, and High-Net-Worth private estates.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a solid background in gardening or grounds maintenance to lead our national operations. You will be the driving force behind our service delivery, ensuring our teams across the UK provide exceptional work for our diverse client base. This is a pivotal role for a hands-on leader who understands the industry from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:·
Lead, manage, and support our national operations team to ensure efficient service delivery. Act as the primary point of contact for new enquiries and existing national clients.· Prepare and submit quotes and tender proposals.· Oversee staff recruitment, performance, and resource allocation to meet demand.· Manage project logistics, including materials and equipment.· Oversee invoice management and ensure commercial efficiency.
Health, Safety & Compliance:·
Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all work complies with FLG's Risk Assessments and Method Statements.· Brief and ensure the competency of all team members for their assigned tasks.
The Ideal Candidate:·
Essential: Proven experience within the gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance industry.· An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the confidence to manage client relationships and lead a team.· A proactive and creative problem-solver, ready to meet challenges constructively.· Highly organised, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects on time and within resource.· Experience in staff management, performance review, and recruitment.
Salary & Benefits:·
A competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per year.· Performance-related bonus scheme.· A permanent, full-time role with a growing national business.· The opportunity to shape and lead the operations of a well-established company.
