About this opportunity

As an Audit Analyst you'll support in the delivery of high-quality audits. Own the design and operational evaluation and testing of key controls. Apply proficient knowledge and application of audit methodology and assigned risk areas.

You'll act as a proactive team member, with a growth mindset, positively contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the audit. Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of GA&CI through a strategic and integrated audit focus, collaboration and agile delivery methods.

Day to day, you will:

  • Contribute to the audit plan, delivering specified outcomes and providing support by working as directed within the Audit Team.
  • Support control testing and can identify areas of concern, articulating the potential challenge.
  • Help senior colleagues and build meaningful stakeholder relationships.
  • Conduct research considering multiple perspectives and bring the outside in to enable analysis of key themes and external trends.
  • Suggest improvements in current compliance processes by being bold.
  • Actively role model the Group values and behaviours.
  • Proactively identify, address and drive personal development opportunities and create a positive learning culture based on effective coaching.
  • Freely sharing insight and timely, direct, effective feedback that contributes to the success of the delivery plan and leaves a positive, sustainable impact on the function

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience in auditing, preferably in financial services, including

  • Risk identification

  • Process documentation and design assessment
  • Control identification, documentation and testing, including design and operational effectiveness
  • Audit Testing and Work paper documentation
  • Identification and documentation of control issues / audit findings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey findings clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent time and project management with the ability to prioritize your work and ensure timely and value-added audit delivery.
  • The ability to analyse, understand and communicate data as information, and to use data to drive effective audit outcomes.
  • The ability to understand IT General Controls and how they relate to business and technology processes.

Key skills required:

  • Understanding of the key capital management concepts and processes (Capital requirements, capital sources and capital ratios)
  • Understanding of the key Liquidity management concepts and processes (Liquidity requirements and funding sources and key liquidity measures (LCR, NSFR))
  • Understanding of the key market risk management and oversight concepts and processes (Interest Risk in Banking Book, Trading Book Market Risk, VaR and FRTB)
