Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting software and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our company's success.
Duties
- Manage and maintain the organisation's financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date and correct
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements as required
- Assist with payroll processing and expense reporting
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary
- Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment is desirable
